At the “Easy Home Cooking school The Red Orchid” in Pai, we have been cooking Thai food. All you need is a cooking teacher, a wok, a wokfire, a scarf knife, a mortar and pestle and a local MARKET. First of all, we go to the market to buy the ingredients. At the local market you find a lot of fresh and ripe vegetables, fruit, rice and noodles. And of course, all you can see and hear there makes really a pleasure to your eyes, your ears and your mind. Wim, the language lover, wants to know the Thai name of everything, while I am looking if I can find alternatives for the ingredients for my home country. After this, once we are back at the cooking school, we enjoy cooking the really good Thai menus under expert guidance. And then we can eat everything we’ve cooked. Enjoy your meal! …..It’s too much!

Sorry, before I started travelling, I was in such a hurry that I had no time to write a post. Now I’m in Pai in
and I have electricity and internet again. My trip began in Ubud, .
Although ever more overflown by tourists, I still like the atmosphere there. In
Ubud I’ve found nice and beautiful batik and I bought a kabaya with sarong and
selendang. Of course I visited my friends the birds (see the picture elsewhere in my blog) at my favourite museum, the interesting Bali, Indonesia Antonio Blanco Renaissance Museum. At the main street you can visit the house of Lempad, a Balinese artist who has lived
in Ubud till he died at the age of 116 (see the video!).
